Hi everyone! Hope this week has started well for all of you and thank you for being here!
On today’s blog I want to share two cards I made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. I have the link here if you would like to check it out! The challenge is Distress It. Since I have the Distress Oxide Inks, I thought; why not give it a go!
I started with the Altenew Weave Builder Stencil and boy that stencil confused me on the first try using it haha. On the instructions it says to flip over and apply a different color for a two-toned effect. My first try did go wrong. These two cards are my 4th and 5th try. Not bad huh lol.
For my first card I used Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. I wanted to achieve a fading effect and I guess it went pretty well!
I then die cut the “hello” from Hero Arts Stamp & Cut three times, glued them together and adhere it on my card base and stamped “just a note to say” above the “hello”. Stamped some triangles above it as well.
I added fun foam and adhered my card base on black card stock that is a 1/4″ bigger and adhered it on a similar color card panel.
For my second card I used Twisted Citron and Peeled Paint. The process is the same as my first card, I used “thanks” that I die cut three times as well then glued them together and to finish the sentence I stamped “a bunch” underneath the “thanks”.
I adhered my card base vertically on a piece of black card stock that is also 1/4″ bigger. And then adhered it on a lime green card panel.

Sorry if today’s blog post was a bit too long but thank you for sticking till the end! Enjoy your week!
