Happy Birthday

Hi there! I’m glad you are here with me today and just how fast did December come and go??? I wanted to share one more card with you before we meet and greet 2019.

I made this card for my little nephew Zachary, who turned 4 years old on December 1st! You might recognized this little fox holding up all the balloons. I colored it during the 30 day coloring challenge from Kathy. This fox is from Altenew Hug me Stamp set. I die cut the fox out and put it aside.

I started to brainstorm how I want to do the background. And since the fox was holding up balloons, I decided to do a cloud background. I didn’t have the cloud stencil so I used a cloud border die to die cut a piece of 110LB card stock and used that to make my clouds. This is terrible but I don’t remember exactly which color Distress Oxide I used, I think it was Tumbled Glass.

When done with the clouds, I used the biggest stitch rectangle die from Katscrappiness and glued it on my card base. Then I die cut the word Happy in bright green card and black stock from Recollections 65LB. I glued them together but having the black card stock stick out a bit to give it some dimension.

I stamped Birthday on a white strip of card stock and cut it out. Time to stick everything on my card panel. Glued the Happy and then Birthday below and raised it with foam tape. For dimension I put foam squares underneath the fox and its balloons. I used Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen to add some sparkle on the balloons.

Little Zach has a younger brother so I decided to skip out on other embellishments because it could fall off and they might end up putting in their mouths.

And that is it! Between the Christmas card and this Birthday card I sent, Zachary love his birthday card more which makes me super happy!!

Thank you so much for stopping by and here I wish you a very Happy New Year! On this New Year I wish that you have a superb January, a dazzling February, a Peaceful March, an anxiety free April, a sensational May, and Joy that keeps going from June to November, and then round off with an upbeat December. Be safe when shooting fireworks and look forward seeing here again next year! Love ya all!! ❤
